Our Resort
Paul and George Anderson bought a small acreage in 1946. Twelve cabins were built on the land in 1947 and opened as Darling Dude Ranch. A year later, the Andersons bought another 100 acres. Looking to add other amenities to their Ranch, the first nine holes of the golf course were completed in 1950 and the second nine were completed in 1963. Trail rides or fairway drives both became available at Darling Dude Ranch! By 1967, Darling Dude Ranch covered 450 acres. New stables and a marina were added to the Ranch. Planning and construction began on a new 170 room motel, restaurant, indoor swimming pool and convention facility. Whoa doggies! The new and improved Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center was opened in 1971. The Andersons sold their property in 1972. The new owners were investors from Miami and managed by Radisson Hotel Corporation. In 1980, Carlson Properties of Minneapolis purchased Arrowwood. The Tennis Center and 30 new suites were added in 1993. Then in 1997, Regency Plymouth Ventures purchased Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center. Regency Inns Management out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota was contracted to manage the property under a franchise agreement with Radisson. Lots of new renovation was initiated for the next several years. The bent-grass putting course was completed in 2000. In 2003, The Big Splash Indoor Waterpark was opened!
Darling Reflections Spa and the renovation of suites was completed in 2005, and in 2006 the 16 Luxury Vacation Townhomes were completed! |
